PACE is proud to present the following photo essay that depicts the tremendous amount of work that the combined, youth, community members, and sponsors have brought to realization. During a 12-week period these amazing and very special people completed the renovations of a two-story sub standard house that is now the proud home of 4 youth. All of the youth that are residing in this home have identified the desire to be pro-active in their own life style changes. We have seen them rise to numerous challenges. Here they have set their own code of standards by which to live. They have certainly lived up to that expectation. These youth have often been identified as service resistant. Given the opportunity they have succeeded beyond any expectations that they have been subjected to.

We are honoured to work with these young adults to assist and support them in making healthier choices. This home is the corner stone of PACE’s philosophy. To share a peer driven model in order to create a safe, non-judgemental environment in which all can obtain economic freedom and reunification with a community that is accepting and supportive of their difficulties and their diversity. Once marginalized by the survival sex trade and the devastating consequences that occur, they are now able to move forward with their lives in a positive, pro-active way.

Each of us involved in this home struggle each day to full fill the needs of these youth. The house is only finished on the inside and yet there is still much to do. They have been unable to use the claw-footed bathtub that came with this 1920 home. There is no hot water hooked up to it. PACE needs support to do these necessary improvements. The front and back porch is nearly falling down and need immediate attention. PACE invites you to get involved. We are calling for volunteers and sponsors. At the bottom of this page you will find a wish list. As you will notice the youth again had a lot to say about their desires. Our commitment is for 16 more units, 16 more homes in the next two years. If you can contribute to this housing project by giving of your time, skills and donations please contact us.
